Selection Process
It's our intention to recruit our Franchise Partners as quickly as possible. However, we are committed to make the best decision for each opportunity. To start the process, go to the Apply Here page on this site. To learn more about selection, see the flow chart below.
Attend a regional franchise briefing:
Briefings are held regularly throughout the UK for prospective franchisees to learn about franchising with Boots opticians.
These sessions are held in the evening, last for approximately two hours and are informal with small groups of about six delegates. You are welcome to bring along a guest. You can register to attend a briefing by clicking here.
Complete an online application:
If you would like to progress your interest, the next stage is to “apply” by completing an online application form and profile. You can apply by clicking here.
Initial interview:
Once you have completed your application form a Franchise Recruitment Manager will contact you to arrange a meeting locally to discuss your interest and answer any questions you may have. At the end of this meeting we will agree next steps if both parties wish to proceed.
Matching \ Waiting list:
There is no guarantee the right opportunity will be immediately available for you. This depends on your location and the type of opportunities that you are suited for. When a suitable opportunity becomes available, the Franchise Recruitment Manager will contact you and give you an outline briefing. If you feel this is right for you then the next stage is to attend a project meeting.
Project Meeting:
At the project meeting we will introduce an initial business plan for you to review which will outline the level of funding required and projected return on investment. Full details of the opportunity will be provided along with comprehensive information about the location. Naturally, we expect you to take this away to consider and seek independent advice.
Assessment Centre:
If you wish to proceed you will be invited to attend an assessment centre in Nottingham. This is a one day event designed to ensure you have the skills necessary to effectively run your new business or identify any areas in which you may need additional support or training.
On successful completion of the assessment centre you will be approved to proceed with the acquisition\opening of your Boots Opticians franchise.
